I was kept waiting for OVER TWENTY-FIVE MINUTES and then told I was "difficult" - that is just ludicrous! If you want to be treated fairly, don't expect to get it from this RUDE person who has no clue how to treat customers in a service industry. Just because I'm not white doesn't mean I don't have a valid complaint. Rude proceeded to talk about me in front of my face and said "your customers are so difficult!" and then left. I told Rude that it wasn't the lady's fault, SHE should have told her I was there (just like she had said she would do). The lady (who had no idea I had been waiting because Rude hadn't told her) said "I didn't know she was here". Rude looked at me and then went and told the lady "she's been waiting 25 minutes, why didn't you come get her?". Free standard delivery Order and Collect. I waited 25 minutes and saw that Rude hadn't let the lady know I was here. I went to have waxing done (I'm a regular customer who spends well over $100 every time I visit every 1-2 months) and was told to have seat while the lady I had an appointment with was told I was here. The owner's step daughter happens to be a manager (unfortunately I didn't catch her name so let's call her "Rude") at this salon and therefore thinks she can treat customers rudely. Luckily for Hugo Salon, the Good Lord has been working on me so I'll just write scathing reviews instead. The old me would have just walked out of that place without paying - cause the opportunity was surely there. And my hair is mainly straight, dry to the touch and look. I asked for curls with body and volume and instead I got a few ends bumped. I was there for nearly 2 hours and majority of the work was done by Amanda the assistant.Īs Amanda was blowing out my hair in the back, Toni bumped my ends in the front. Toni, the stylist that I made the appointment with, spent approximately 30 minutes or less on my hair. Yeah I'm black, but my hair ain't that nappy. It took them more than 30 minutes to blow me out. Where I'm from this is a no-no and considered bad luck. She asked for help, so there were 2 hands in my head at the SAME time. When it was time to blow me out Toni was visibly overwhelmed. When she washed my hair it looked like I had been swimming - it appeared dry, matted to my head with dandruff flakes clearly embedded throughout. After feeding off Bill, Willa becomes high from the blood and relishes in the sunlight, but it wears off once Warlow dies. I made the appointment for a blow out and curls. I am African-American and I get my hair pressed (up here they call it a blow out) - been doing my hair like this for more than a decade. Turns out I was disappointed and now I am down-right pissed. My salon back home is Korean and a black lady referred me, so I was truly excited to experience Hugo Salon. Amanda was the sweetest and God bless her for trying, but I won't be back. 1/2 star - I walked into the salon and straight to my stylist Toni.
